Dallas Spotlights Nighttime Economy & Responsible Hospitality Division
(September 4, 2025) The City of Dallas is proud to announce the official launch of its Nighttime Economy & Responsible Hospitality (NTE) Division, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to strengthen Dallas’ nightlife, cultural economy, and global event readiness.
The Dallas NTE Division works to ensure Dallas’ nightlife and cultural economy thrives by balancing community needs, business success, and public safety. This is a dedicated team to ensure Dallas remains a model for safe, vibrant, and globally connected nightlife.
Dallas’ nightlife generates more than $24 billion annually between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., supporting over 256,000 jobs and standing as one of the city’s most powerful economic and cultural drivers.
This division serves as the city’s central hub for collaboration, aligning businesses, nightlife partners, industry stakeholders, residents, and public safety to support a thriving social economy. Its work reflects more than a year of behind-the-scenes planning and groundwork, now stepping into the spotlight with the upcoming Glow Up Summit on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Dec on Dragon.
“The nighttime economy is one of Dallas’ most powerful drivers of culture, connection, and commerce,” said Edward Grant, Nighttime Economy & Responsible Hospitality Manager. “The Glow Up Summit marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter—bringing our businesses, venues, and communities together to safeguard this sector, prepare for major global events, and ensure Dallas sets the standard for a world-class nightlife economy.”
Further details about the Glow Up Summit, including programming and registration information, will be announced in the coming weeks.
