Bring your bike and attend Dallas Public Library’s free Bicycle Education class Saturday Oct. 10

Is your old bicycle just not cutting it anymore?  Wondering where to begin the bike-buying process?  Does bike shop lingo seem like a foreign language? Get your questions answered in a free class designed to help you navigate the bike-buying process.

Classes will be presented by Local Hub Bicycle Company and will include information about different bike types and their uses, how much you can expect to spend, and how to get the right sized bike. Get the knowledge you need to shop with confidence and find the right bike for you. The class will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday Oct. 10 at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 1515 Young St. first floor community showcase.

And once you’ve acquired that special first bike, you’ll want to take good care of it, so be sure to also attend the free bike maintenance class, where you’ll learn how to fix a flat, adjust your cables, and grease your chain. Bring your bike and attend from 7 to 8 p.m. also at the Central Library’s first floor Community Showcase.
