The Office of Environmental Quality and Sustainability is proud to announce that Bank of America Plaza has been re-certified as a Platinum member of the Dallas Green Business Certification Program, sponsored by the City of Dallas. Environmental stewardship remains a core priority for the building’s ownership, management and staff, and we commend their continued commitment to another 3-year certification. The Platinum designation represents the program’s highest level of recognition and is reserved for businesses who prioritize “green” sustainable practices and make conscious decisions to help restore our valuable ecosystems and benefit our communities.
Bank of America Plaza was among the original certified members when the Dallas Green Business Certification Program launched. Following the program’s 2025 update, the building has successfully maintained its Platinum status. Known as the city’s tallest building and the most recognizable silhouette on the skyline with its signature green LED lighting, Bank of America Plaza has earned this distinction by demonstrating leadership in policy and operations, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable transportation, and sustainability education. The building also participates in the Lights Out, DFW campaign to protect migrating birds and hosts two beehives that support local pollinators.
Additional recognitions include LEED Gold certification, the Metropolis Bewell™ Promise, Fitwel®, UL Verified Healthy Building Marks, and BOMA 360 designation. Bank of America Plaza is also an ENERGY STAR® partner, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace.
