Traffic advisories issued for Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon and DFW Auto Show

The Dallas Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon will be held in downtown Dallas from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday March 20. The 13.1 mile race will start at Young and Lamar Street and finish on Sports Street.  A post run celebration will take place at the Reunion Lawn.

A comprehensive traffic plan has been developed by the Dallas Police Department in conjunction with the race organizers to minimize traffic interruptions. Dallas Police will work traffic through the route as necessary and roads will reopen as the race passes each intersection. For more information visit https:// www.runrocknroll.com/dallas.

The DFW Auto Show will also host a vehicle test drive in downtown Dallas Wednesday March 16 through Sunday March 20. The following lane closures will occur for the vehicles to stage and test drive the route:

• South curb lane of Ceremonial between Lamar and Griffin; partial street closures will be required (eastbound lanes of Ceremonial of Lamar St.). The test drive route will be south on Griffin, right on Canton, right on Lamar, right on Ceremonial back to the start.  No full road street closures are required.
