Smoking ban in City parks begins March 1

Starting March 1, lighting up at any City of Dallas park could cost you up to $200.

The smoking ban was approved by Council last year and will affect 400 parks and 100 miles of trails across the city. Park Rangers will begin handing out citations starting March 1, for fines up to $200. Exceptions to the ban include golf courses, the shooting range, and facilities managed by private partners.
