Reverchon Park Baseball Field Reopens After $5.5 Million in Renovations
The iconic baseball field at Reverchon Park has undergone a two-year, $5.5 million renovation that has restored the park to its 1920s-era splendor. The City of Dallas and Dallas Independent School District celebrate the field’s reopening with a special ceremony followed by a baseball game featuring the North Dallas High School Bulldogs. The event which took place on Saturday April 26, honored generations of athletes who once played at Reverchon Park, recognizing their lasting connection to the field and its legacy in Dallas sports history. Reverchon Park is the home field for North Dallas High School’s baseball team.
Renovations include a historically preserved and restored grandstand, a regraded and irrigated field with new natural grass turf and upgraded bullpens. Other amenities are dugouts, a scoreboard, and restrooms. Installation of a concession building is planned and will be completed soon.
Reverchon is a 41.3 acre community park, established in 1914.
