Service/Facility Openings & Hours (July 10)
The City of Dallas will implement three furlough days to address the current year financial shortfall. Many city offices will be closed. All emergency and other critical services such as Dallas Water Utilities, Sanitation, and Love Field/Executive Airport will remain operational.
Please see below to find out which public facing services/facilities remain fully active and which will be closed or operating under modified hours on Friday, July 10, 2026.

| Sanitation Services | OPEN | All collections, including recycling, garbage, and brush/bulky item collection, will continue as normally scheduled. The McCommas Bluff Landfill and transfer stations will remain open during regular hours for residential self-service disposal. | Dallas Animal Services | OPEN | Normal Operating Hours. Both administrative offices and the shelter will remain open during regular hours. Employees will observe furlough day on an alternate day. |

| Community Centers | MODIFIED | West Dallas Multipurpose Center, Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center and Vital Statistics (inside Dallas Central Library) will be closed. Foremost Family Health Clinic and ChildCareGroup on the MLK campus will each remain open. Dallas County Older Adult Services Nutrition Program services will transition to home meal delivery for closed sites. |

| Dallas Water Utilities Lobby at City Hall | CLOSED | The Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) customer service lobby will be closed to the public. Customers with questions regarding their water bill may call DWU Customer Service at 214-651-1441, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or send an email to [email protected]. For water service requests, call 3-1-1. Non-emergency requests can be submitted at dallas.gov or on the Dallas 311 mobile app. DWU’s water, wastewater and stormwater operations will remain on their continuous schedule of 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round, including holidays. |
| Dallas Public Libraries | CLOSED | All branches will be closed. Digital resources and catalogs are available 24/7 at DallasLibrary.org. |
| Parks & Cultural Admin Offices | CLOSED | While parks, trails, courses, and select facilities are open, the main administrative and headquarters offices will be closed. |

Please note that the city’s online portals remain fully operational 24/7 for water bill payments, online permit submissions, and non-emergency 311 service requests.
