New Community Court now open in Northeast Dallas

The City of Dallas has opened its fourth community court at 9451 LBJ Freeway, Suite 125.

Community Courts focus on rehabilitating defendants charged with Class C misdemeanors. Instead of paying fines and court costs, defendants who plead “guilty” or “no contest” may be ordered by the community court judge to perform supervised community service and may be required to attend rehabilitative and educational programs. Community Prosecutors serve as prosecutors in the community courts.

The first Dallas community court, the South Dallas Community Court, has been recognized as a National Mentor Court for community courts across the country. (click here to learn more).
