Housing & Neighborhood Revitalization announces NOFA Opportunity

Dallas’ Office of Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization is offering real estate developers and builders an opportunity to obtain gap financing in the form of a repayable loan or grant to support new development or substantial rehabilitation of single-family housing units in the City.  More information about the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) will be presented during a series of meetings held throughout the City of Dallas in May.

“We’re excited at the prospect of helping to bring more single-family homes to the market,” says David Noguera, Director of Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization, “we’re holding these meetings in conjunction with our Office of Procurement Services to make sure potential applicants are informed about the current way to apply for this program.”

All applications must be submitted electronically through Bonfire, the City’s new electronic solicitation portal. More information on the NOFA can be found here: https://dallascityhall.bonfirehub.com/opportunities/15830.

The programs within this NOFA are funded by the 2017 bond, with $8 million in bond funds available in District 4 and up to $8 million in bond funds for District 7.

This single–family housing NOFA is part of a greater effort by the City of Dallas to increase the amount of affordable housing stock in the City.
