Disaster Resilient Citizens program announced

A new program launched by the City’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will create more disaster resilient citizens and neighborhoods.

District 10 Program 004

Disaster Resilient Citizens is a 90-minute interactive program that offers participants the key elements to preparedness: Making a Plan, Building a Kit, and Being Prepared. The program will engage neighborhood leaders and citizens in a series of activities and discussions on what it means to be prepared for emergencies and how to help families and neighbors recover.

The program will be offered in each Council District. The OEM will also offer presentations to citizens and neighborhood groups wanting more information by contacting OEM Director Rocky Vaz at [email protected] or (214) 670-4277.
