City of Dallas Department and Facility Holiday Closures
In observance of Thanksgiving Day, City of Dallas offices and certain facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

Arts and Culture
The Office of Arts and Culture administrative offices, the Oak Cliff Cultural Center and South Dallas Cultural Center will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29, 2024, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Administrative offices will resume regular hours on Monday, December 2, 2024. The aforementioned Cultural Centers will resume regular hours on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
The Bath House Cultural Center and Latino Cultural Center will be closed from Thursday through Saturday, November 29-30, 2024 and will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
Animal Services
Dallas Animal Services is closed on November 28, 2024.
Dallas Park and Recreation
Dallas Park and Recreation’s administrative offices, maintenance facilities, and recreation centers will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29. Recreation centers reopen Saturday, November 30 and administrative offices and maintenance facilities reopen Monday, December 2.
Dallas Public Libraries:
All library locations will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27 and will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29.

Dallas Water Utilities
The Dallas Water Utilities administrative and customer service offices will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, 2024, for Thanksgiving Day. For emergency water service requests, customers should call 3-1-1. Non-emergency requests can be submitted online or on the Dallas 311 mobile app available for download on iOS and Android devices.
Municipal Court
Dallas Municipal Court will be closed Thanksgiving Day, November 28 and 29. The court will reopen on December 2, 2024, at 7:30 a.m.
Sanitation
In observance of Thanksgiving 2024, recycle and garbage collections will not occur Thursday, November 28. Thursday collections will occur on Friday, November 29 and Friday collections will occur on Saturday, November 30. Transfer stations and the Landfill will also be closed and will reopen on Friday.
