City of Dallas empowering mothers to breastfeed

In honor of Black Breastfeeding Week, The Cedar Crest Gold Club and Banquet Facility is partnering with the City of Dallas Office of Community Care WIC Program to host the African American Breastfeeding Day Party on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

With the goal of improving equity in the City of Dallas, efforts are being made to remove barriers that may prevent African American moms from meeting their breastfeeding goals.

This event is free event and is designed to bring the surrounding communities together to celebrate all women who provide breast-milk to their babies by showcasing the importance of breastfeeding within the African American Community. The event will include a lineup of speakers working to support breastfeeding in the community and neighborhood vendors hosting booths with information about their organization, door prizes, refreshments and a small gift of appreciation for each of our breastfeeding mothers.
