Trinity Watershed Management flood control crews have begun work to repair superficial skin slides on the Levee System caused by recent rainfall. Current weather and levels of the river have allowed staff to proceed with repairs.
Each repair will vary depending on scope, material required and work area. In most cases, old material will be removed and replaced with new material to bench levee.
The first phase of work will be at these locations:
• 1250 Round Table Drive
• 4678 Mexicana Road
• 1904 Donosky Drive
• 1962 N. Stemmons Freeway
• 1100 Conveyor Lane
• 3038 Quebec St.
• 111 Regal Row
The levee system is working as intended and staff will continue to monitor the areas as repairs are completed. Slides are a normal occurrence and the repairs to not pose any safety risk to the public.
