Trinity River Kite Festival promises colorful kites

The Trinity River Kite Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at the Dallas Floodway (146 Commerce Street). The entrance to the event is behind the Lew Sterrett Justice Center on the East Levee. The festival will take place between the Commerce Street Bridge and the IH-30 Bridge.

 

The Trinity River Kite Festival is a terrific opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the Trinity River Corridor while enjoying kites of all sizes flying over the Dallas Floodway. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this outdoor event. Admission is free.

 

Event highlights: free kite giveaway (while supplies last) and public kite flying; Dallas Area Kite fliers Organization (DAKO); Southwest Kite Teams and Kid’s Fun Zone: Bounce House, Clowns, Face Painting; Dallas Zoo Outreach; City Department booths, giveaways and mascots; Kite vendors and over 60 marketplace vendors (some fees apply).
