Trinity River Corridor corporate day of service set for April 7

More than 100 volunteers have signed up to participate in the Trinity River Conservation Corps’ Corporate Day of Service on April 7. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Trinity River Corridor, Moore Park Gateway and Santa Fe Trestle Trail, 1837 E. 8th St.

Corporate leaders, organizations and individuals will remove invasive species, plant native grasses, help pick up trash and inventory the biodiversity in the area with an app.

Last year’s Corporate Day of Service resulted in more than 400 participants who collected 10,000 pounds of trash and invasive species and made thousands of seed balls to disperse in the area.
