Skyline High School students work together to beautify the city

Three Skyline High School students are promoting community pride by sponsoring a team for the City of Dallas Operation: Beautification program on Saturday, October 28.

Anayeli Espinosa, Lizbeth Espiricueta, and Michelle Echevarria are leading a group for the biannual citywide cleanup event.

These young adult leaders are heavily involved in giving back to their community. They are members of the City of Dallas Neighborhood Plus Target Area Advisory Committee, Skyline Student Senate and are active participants in the Advisory Committee supporting door to door canvasing and crime watch event planning.

“We want to be leaders of action and show our classmates they can make a difference in the places that we live and work”, says Anayleli Espinosa.

The sophomores and junior are looking for volunteers to join their team and help pick up litter in the Chariot and Rothington multi-family community. High school students can receive community service hours for volunteering the day of the event by emailing [email protected].

Operation: Beautification is open to anyone wanting to participate in the city of Dallas. Volunteers interested in participating can register by calling 311 or emailing [email protected].
