Public invited to Dine for Dallas Blue tonight to support families of fallen heroes

A retired NYPD Officer hopes to raise at least $100,000 for the families of the officers killed and injured in last week’s attack. Retired Officer Joe Palladino, owner of Nick and Sam’s Steakhouse, will host “Dine for Dallas Blue” from 5 p.m. tonight until 2 a.m. Friday at Dos Jefes, 2816 Fairmount St. in Dallas.

A silent auction will feature high-end sports memorabilia from teams across the city and Corporate Executive Chef Samir Dhurandhar from Nick and Sam’s steakhouse will auction off two dinners for 10 at the winner’s homes. All proceeds from the event will go to the families, via the Guns and Hoses Foundation.

“We are honored to help the Dallas Police Department in the wake of this awful tragedy,” said Angelo T. Landi, Corporate Chef of Coal Vines and The Biergarten on Lamar, sponsors of the event.
