Dallas Animal Services (DAS) is looking to hire hardworking, caring people with great customer service skills to join their team. If you love working with people and animals, DAS would like to invite you to attend one of two upcoming information sessions:

SESSION ONE:

Dallas Animal Services strives to strengthen our community and its relationship with animals through outreach and enforcement efforts that preserve the human animal bond throughout the City of Dallas.

OPEN POSITIONS

Animal Keepers II:
Are responsible for providing care, which includes cleaning and feeding for the over 700 animals housed and for cared for by DAS, in addition to providing customer service to the citizens looking for assistance with adopting and pet care needs.

Animal Services Officers:
Are responsible for responding to calls for services throughout the City of Dallas pertaining to animal issues. These duties include capturing animals, enforcing the City and State Codes, participating in investigations, testifying in court, educating the public through individual contacts and community meetings.

Supervisor II Field:
Responsible for reviewing and prioritizing calls in a designated area as well as providing leadership to the assigned Officers and ensuring quality performance and call completions. These individuals also work on escalated issues with a specialized focus on customer service and complex animal issues.

Veterinary Assistants:
Work in the shelter to provide basic vaccinations and treatment to the animals in DAS care. To provide assistance to the veterinarians with the treatments and care of minor illness and injury, neutering and trauma injury assessment.
