Dallas Horseshoe Project: New right exit from south I-35E to west I-30 opens May 1

Another major ramp along the Dallas Horseshoe Project is scheduled to open Sunday May 1, weather permitting. This new exit from southbound I-35E to westbound I-30 will be a right exit, permanently replacing the old left exit that has been there for decades. Also, traffic along westbound I-30 in the Canyon area will be shifted to the right onto new pavement.

Work to perform these lane changes will begin Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30, but is subject to change due to weather. The new ramp to access westbound I-30 from southbound I-35E will be available to the public by Sunday morning.

For downtown Dallas drivers:
• The entrance ramp to southbound I-35E/westbound I-30 along Elm Street (at Dealey Plaza, west of Houston Street) will temporarily change to a southbound I-35E ONLY access, effective Sunday May 1 after these ramp openings.

• DETOUR TO WESTBOUND I-30: Heading west along Elm Street toward I-35E, remain left towards Commerce Street and travel southbound along Riverfront Boulevard to access the new westbound I-30 on-ramp.
