Mounted Unit to host family-friendly community events in August

The Dallas Police Department Mounted Unit is hosting an inaugural community trail ride and Back to School Bash to not only celebrate the start of a new school year, but to provide the public with an opportunity to learn a little more about the Dallas Police Department’s Mounted Unit. Both events will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

“Mounting Up for the Community” is a community trail ride and is open to the public for $25 a person. The event will feature a 3.8-mile horse ride through downtown Dallas with members of the Dallas Police Department’s Mounted Unit. Community members may also ride with their own stallions. The trail ride will begin at 700 Sports St. Dallas, TX 75207.

The Back to School Bash is a family-friendly event meant to get your kiddos excited about back to school. Families can enjoy various activities, food trucks, prizes, giveaways, music and more. The bash will kick off at 300 Reunion Blvd E, Dallas, TX 75207. Registration for the event strongly encourage.
