Mayor Rawlings’ to Host Twitter Budget Meeting

City of Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings will host the City’s first Twitter budget town hall meeting via virtual technology, including Twitter and Periscope, on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 beginning at 6 p.m.
Residents are invited to tweet questions to Mayor Rawlings, beginning at 5:30 p.m., using the twitter handle @Mike_Rawlings.
The goal is to reach residents through traditional and social media resources so he can answer their questions and provide insight into the upcoming year’s proposed budget. The meeting will be hosted on-site at Dallas City Hall, 1500 Marilla St., 6ES.
“I’m excited to engage Dallas residents on social media about their top priorities in the ongoing budget process,” Mayor Rawlings said. “I’ve been traveling around the city to traditional town hall meetings and this forum will help us reach an even wider audience of constituents.”
