Lane closures and detours: DWU to replace underground water valve starting March 19
Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) will begin replacing an underground water valve in the 17400 block of N. D. Parkway, between Hilton Head and Trinity Mills Road, on Saturday March 19. The limits of this project span City Council Districts 11 and 12.
The replacement project will require excavation of pavement within the parkway and closure of all northbound lanes. The closure is expected to begin at or about 11:45 p.m. and last for approximately 24 to 32 hours.
The following detours have been established and signs will be posted to direct northbound traffic for the duration of project:
- Addison Road, providing a bypass from West grove Drive to Trinity Mills Road
- River Hill Drive, providing a bypass from Hilton Head Road to Briargrove Lane
DWU has posted information pertaining to this project on an electronic message board located on N. Dallas Parkway, just north of Westgrove Drive.
