Labor Day City of Dallas Department and Facility Closures

City of Dallas offices and libraries will close Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, for Labor Day. Please see below for a full list of department and facility closures.

Animal Services:

Dallas Animal Services is open on Sept. 4.

Municipal Court:

Municipal Court is closed Monday, Sept. 4, for Labor Day. The facility will re-open Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023. Full payment of fines will be accepted at the: Dallas Marshal’s Office 1600 Chestnut, Dallas TX 75226, which is open 24 hours, seven days a week. The postmark will be honored for payments by mail. Sanitation:

Sanitation administrative offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day. All collections will continue as usual for Monday recycle and garbage collections and first Monday week brush and bulky items areas. The McCommas Bluff Landfill and transfer stations will be open during regular hours for residential self-service disposal. Residential disposal hours can be found here.

Dallas Water Utilities:

Dallas Water Utilities’ administrative and customer services offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day.

For emergency service requests, customers may call 3-1-1. Non-emergency requests can be submitted here or on OurDallas mobile app available for download on Apple and Android device

Parks & Recreation: 

Dallas Park and Recreation administrative offices, Recreation Centers and Maintenance Facilities are closed Sept. 4.
