The Office of Environmental Quality and Sustainability is proud to announce that Hotel Crescent Court is the first business to be certified under the recently re-launched Dallas Green Business Certification Program.
Hotel Crescent Court is a luxury hotel built over 30 years ago using building materials sourced from the U.S. and Europe to withstand the test of time. Located in Uptown, Hotel Crescent Court recently completed a $33 million renovation to continue its renown for architecture, quality, luxury, and now a Silver Certified Dallas Green Business. Shortly after applications opened for the Dallas Green Business Certification Program, management and staff for Hotel Crescent recognized that the free certification would enable them to demonstrate in a new and meaningful way what it means to be green. Some of Hotel Crescent Court’s more notable efforts include a dedicated recycling program and water efficiency. A portion of the recycled items include batteries, electronics, paper products, glass, and plastic. Hotel staff have also made it a priority to give back to the community through a food donation program, hiring local artists, and other volunteer events.
More about the Dallas Green Business Certification Program
The Dallas Green Business Certification Program re-launched this past August. The purpose of this program is to highlight local businesses that prioritize sustainable practices and make conscious decisions to protect and restore our natural environment. These green actions have the potential to extend the reliability and longevity of your business by saving money and giving back to your community in ways that will last for generations.
Any business located within Dallas city limits is encouraged to join. The application is free, and businesses can apply at any time. For more information, see our website at https://dallascityhall.com/ greenbusiness.
