Highland Hills Community Center is latest community district office

Highland Hills Community Center is up and running as the latest Council Community Office.  Currently serving District 8, It previously functioned for years as the old Highland Hills Library.  In addition to housing Council staff, this community office will have field staff on a rotating schedule from various city offices. That schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tentative office hours for that location are 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the office phone number is 214-608-5736.

Current District 8 Councilmember Tennell Atkins was on hand of the opening along with several of his Council colleagues, including Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway, Councilmember Ricky Callahan, Councilmember Casey Thomas, and Councilmember Omar Narvaez. Other city officials attending the ribbon-cutting included City Manager T.C. Broadnax, Chief of Staff Kim Tolbert, Assistant City Manager Jon Fortune, City Attorney Larry Casto and City Secretary Bilierae Johnson were also in attendance.
