Department of Defense conducting military training across the DFW Metroplex Dec. 4 to 16

The Department of Defense has informed the Dallas Police Department they will be conducting military training across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex from Dec. 4 to Dec.16. The training will involve air and ground mobility operations across the Metroplex, including Dallas.

The Dallas Police Department, along with other North Texas law enforcement agencies, will be providing support for the Department of Defense as they conduct the training. Safety precautions are in place to protect our residents, along with those participating in the exercise.

Although planning considerations were made to minimize impact to the community and private property, the public should be prepared for traffic delays.

There will be no public or media viewing opportunities, but this advisory will provide awareness to the community should they come across this training. This is a scheduled training exercise and is not in response to any current world events.
