Dallas Zoo sends dinosaurs off with a bang on Labor Day weekend

Before Dallas Zoo’s dinosaurs go extinct (again!) after Sept. 7, the zoo is throwing a dino-sized party, sending the giants off in prehistoric style Sept. 5-6 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Live music kicks off at 7 p.m. both nights and goes until 9 p.m. On Saturday night, listen to the vocal stylings of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Bluegrass Band, and Sunday night Texas country music favorite, the Ray Johnston Band, hits the stage.

Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to the Cat Green stage in ZooNorth, where food, and drinks are available will for purchase. The “Last Blast from the Past” party is free with zoo admission. Dallas Zoo is located at 650 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway.
