Dallas Park and Recreation hosts job fair

Are you looking for a job or know someone who might be looking? The City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department is hosting a free job fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 at the Centennial Building at Fair Park.

“We are looking for nearly 500 creative and innovative individuals for full-time, part-time and seasonal positions,” said John Jenkins, Assistant Director at the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department. “We want individuals with solid customer service experience to help us drive attendance at our area parks and recreation centers.”

Positions are available in aquatics, golf, facility services, park maintenance, and recreation. Among the openings are pool managers, lifeguards, waterpark assistants, carpenters, electricians, mechanics, plumbers, welders, recreation assistants, recreation leaders, maintenance supervisors and office assistants.

Attendees will have a chance to connect with hiring officials during onsite interviews, so dress to impress and don’t forget to bring a valid picture ID and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

“Job seekers are not required to preregister for the job fair but they should submit their application before the event,” said Jenkins. “Human resource staff will be on hand for those who are unable to complete their applications ahead of time.”

Applicants can apply for these and other city jobs online at www.dallascityhall.com. Applicants interested in the aquatic positions must be at least 16. For all other positions, applicants must be 18.
