Dallas Citizens Fire Academy seeking applicants
Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) is seeking applicants for its 12th Citizen’s Fire Academy (CFA) that will begin March 24 and run eight weeks, through May 21.
The program is for citizens of Dallas, 18 or older, who are interested in learning how DFR is organized and conducts daily operations. Participants will meet on Thursday evenings and learn about subjects relevant to DFR hiring and training process, apparatus familiarization, hazardous materials team, Urban Search and Rescue, and fire tactics and strategies, along with receiving valuable CPR certification training. A total of 15 people completed the 2015 CFA class.
