Central Library 7th Floor set to reopen in August

After a brief relocation, the Texas/Dallas History and Archives Division of the Dallas Public Library will soon be moving back to its home on the 7th floor of the Central Library, 1515 Young St. in early August.

The renovation included new display cases, a gallery for fine books, more meeting spaces and an updated reading room, among other improvements.

Housing art, books, public records, important historic items and the Dallas History and Archives Division is an important part of the Fine Books Division of the Dallas Public Library. In addition to Dallas History, the Archives also contain important pieces of history from the surrounding areas of Dallas and across Texas.
