Dallas B.R.A.I.N. partners with Goldman Sachs to grow small business community

It’s been a productive two months for the Dallas Business Resource and Information Network (B.R.A.I.N.), augmented by an exciting new partnership with Goldman Sachs to launch the Business Industry Group (B.I.G.) Forum.

B.R.A.I.N. is a unique partnership formally established two months ago between the city’s Office of Economic Development and the Dallas Public Library to promote entrepreneurial literacy and local business development via the library branches across the city.

The B.I.G. Forum is a series of monthly programs providing information and opportunities for Dallas’ growing small business community. Attendees will be provided with information from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and the City of Dallas’ Purchasing department.

Dallas is home to more than 160,000 small businesses, many of which do not have access to quality resources and information. Some of the challenges to connecting these small business owners is Dallas’ size and the great diversity of industries and communities. To build an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem, Dallas B.R.A.I.N. maintains a network of non-profit service providers, government resources and educational institutions accessible through an interactive website.

Dallas B.R.A.I.N. staff members provide free one-on-one assistance at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 1515 Young St. each month. If you, or someone you know is interested in attending and setting up a time to meet, register here.
