Code’s Consumer Health provided food safety for patrons during State Fair
Each year, millions of people visit the State Fair of Texas. They come to Dallas for events, games, livestock, and especially food.
The different cuisines were what brought people to Fair Park from September until October. For Code Compliance Services Consumer Health Division, the staff ensured the food was prepared, stored, and served properly throughout the entirety of the event.
Staff performed 940 food inspections, investigated three foodborne illness complaints, and had two Sanitarians on-site throughout the duration of the State Fair to conduct follow-up inspections.
