City launches DallasGo, the new online payment platform
DallasGo, the new online payment platform, will be available to customers starting Monday, March 25. It will replace the existing payment system.
DallasGo will offer more functionality and will make it easier for Dallas residents to pay Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) and other City of Dallas bills. Customers can quickly view bills, set up secure automatic payments, change payment methods or review account information. DallasGo also offers a convenient one-time payment option, without creating a profile or logging in, by using the Guest Pay feature.
“This new payment platform is being launched as part of our effort to continuously improve the customer experience and make doing business with the city easier,” said Sarah Standifer, Dallas Water Utilities interim director. “DallasGo aligns with our innovative and transformational technology strategy.”
During the transition to DallasGo, online and telephone payment options will be unavailable to customers beginning Thursday, March 21, at 6 p.m. until Monday, March 25, at 8 a.m. During this time frame, customers can make payments by mail, in person at Dallas City Hall with cash, checks or money orders and at authorized payment stations. There will be no water service interruptions or late fees applied during this transition. As a security measure and standard practice, DWU does not call or text customers seeking payment.
Customers with an existing online account will receive an email when it is time to activate their DallasGo profile. Customers who previously registered for automatic payments will need to re-enroll in AutoPay on DallasGo to continue using this feature. AutoPay customers received a targeted postcard with information on the need to re-enroll in Autopay if they wish to continue making convenient automatic payments. There are no fees for using the new payment platform.
Customers who prefer not to use the DallasGo online platform can continue to make payments by mail, by phone, in person at Dallas City Hall, at an authorized pay station or in the drop box outside City Hall in the driveway between Young Street and Canton Street.
