Art 4 Dumpsters project will transform dumpsters into art

Turning a dumpster into a work of art could also mean cash prizes for local artists who compete in the Deep Ellum Arts Festival’s Art 4 Dumpsters contest. Festival goers will be able to see the artists in action as they paint dumpsters from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on April 7.

Art 4 Dumpsters was created to increase awareness about environmental stewardship and increase aesthetics in surrounding neighborhoods. The contest is held in collaboration with the Deep Ellum Community Association and Deep Ellum Arts Festival. The family friendly Deep Ellum Arts Festival will also host an array of art, music and food.
