Annual Tri-City Cleanup to be held on October 14

The Cities of Dallas, Rowlett and Garland will come together at Lake Ray Hubbard on Saturday, October 14 for the annual Tri-City Cleanup event.

Volunteers from across the Dallas-Fort Worth area will work to clean up litter along the lake shoreline and down Rowlett Creek. Lake Ray Hubbard borders Garland and Rowlett, and is an important water supply for the City of Dallas.

To pre-register to volunteer, visit their website. Volunteer check-in begins at 8 a.m. at the Hella Shrine Outdoor Pavilion, 2121 Rowlett Rd., Garland TX 75043. The first 1,500 volunteers will receive a free event t-shirt. Kick-off and a flag raising ceremony will take place at 9 a.m., with deployment to work locations immediately after.

The morning will conclude with a Volunteer Appreciation Picnic at 11:30 a.m., with food, music and prizes.
