Home Improvement and Preservation Program opens applications
The Department of Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization is accepting applications for the annual Home Improvement and Preservation Program (HIPP). Applications will be available at the following locations from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Aug. 6 to Sept. 11.
- Pleasant Grove Branch Library, 7310 Lake June Rd, Dallas, Texas 75217
- Martin Luther King Jr. Branch Library, 2922 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75215
- Bachman Lake Branch Library, 9480 Webb Chapel Rd, Dallas, Texas 75238
- Hampton-Illinois Branch Library, 2951 S Hampton Rd, Dallas, Texas 75224
The program will only be accepting paper applications this year. For your convenience, applications can now be downloaded at dallascityhall.com/hipp.
Completed applications will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11 at any of the locations listed above. Applicants may have a representative drop off their application on their behalf. Applications will be received on a first-come, first-serve basis. The program will not accept early or incomplete applications.

City staff will be hosting virtual and in-person educational workshops that will help applicants understand recently made changes to the program. These workshops will entail how HIPP works, deadlines and the requirements needed to complete an application.

Housing staff will present about HIPP at the top of every hour and answer questions afterward. Presentations will be given in Spanish at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
