Upcoming street closures this weekend

The Dallas Bike Ride is scheduled to occur this Saturday, Nov. 3 at 8 a.m. Traffic will be impacted in several areas, through Downtown, Uptown, West Dallas and Oak Cliff.

Street closures are as follows:

Central Business District – Downtown Dallas

Friday, November 2 at 6 p.m., the following streets will be closed through Sunday, November 4 at 3 a.m.:

  • Young Street from S. Akard Street to S. Ervay Street
  • South Akard Street – All northbound lanes from Young Street to Marilla Street
  • Browder Street from Young Street to Dallas City Hall
  • Marilla Street – All southbound lanes from Young Street to South Akard Street

Saturday, November 3 at 4 a.m., the following additional streets will be closed through Sunday, November 4 at 3 a.m.:

  • Young Street from S. Lamar to Evergreen Street
  • South Griffin from Wood Street to Memorial Drive
  • South Field Street from Wood Street to Young Street
  • South Akard Street from Wood Street to Canton Street
  • Browder Street from Young Street to Canton Street
  • South Ervay from Young Street to Canton Street
  • South Ervay Street from Main Street to Young Street (will reopen by 10:30 a.m. on November 3)

Saturday, November 3 at 7:30 a.m., the following streets will be closed and reopened as cyclists pass through. All streets will be reopened by noon.

  • Main Street – All lanes closed from South Saint Paul Street to Commerce Street/Riverfront Boulevard
  • Flora Street – All lanes closed from Olive Street to Routh Street
  • Reunion Boulevard – One eastbound curb lane closed from South Riverfront Boulevard to Houston Street (10-mile alternate route for cyclists only) Note: Hyatt traffic access available on the north lane of eastbound Reunion Boulevard

Uptown Dallas – Victory Park, Uptown, Cedar Springs, Turtle Creek, and Oak Lawn

Saturday, November 3 at 7:45 a.m., the following streets will be closed and reopened as cyclists pass through. All streets will be open by 10 a.m.

  • Houston Street – All lanes closed from Continental Avenue to Lamar Street
  • Lamar Street – All lanes closed from North Houston Street to Broom Street
  • Broom Street – All lanes closed from Lamar Street to McKinney Avenue
  • McKinney Avenue – All lanes closed from Woodall Rogers Access Road to North Akard Street
  • North Akard Street – All lanes closed from McKinney Avenue to Cedar Springs Road
  • Cedar Springs Road – All lanes closed from North Akard Street to Olive Street
  • Olive Street – All lanes closed from Cedar Springs Road to Flora Street
  • Routh Street – All westbound lanes closed from Flora Street to Colby Street
  • Maple Avenue – All lanes closed from Colby Street to Cedar Springs Road
  • Cedar Springs Road – All northbound lanes closed from Maple Avenue to Turtle Creek Boulevard
  • Turtle Creek Boulevard – All lanes closed from the merge of Turtle Creek Boulevard/Cedar Springs Road to Lemmon Avenue
  • Turtle Creek Boulevard – All lanes closed from Cedar Springs Road to Maple Avenue
  • Maple Avenue – All lanes closed from Turtle Creek Boulevard to Oak Lawn Avenue
  • Oak Lawn Avenue – All southbound lanes closed from Maple Avenue to Irving Boulevard

West Dallas – Design District and Trinity River Corridor

Saturday, November 3 at 8 a.m., the following streets will be closed and reopened as cyclists pass through. All streets will be open by 11 a.m.

  • Irving Boulevard – All eastbound lanes closed from Oak Lawn Avenue to Sylvan Avenue
  • Sylvan Avenue – All northbound lanes closed from Irving Boulevard to Morris Street
  • Morris Street – All lanes closed from Sylvan Avenue to Canada Drive
  • Canada Drive – All lanes closed from Morris Street to Gulden Lane
  • Continental Avenue – All eastbound lanes closed from Riverfront Boulevard to Houston Street and all lanes closed from Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge to Riverfront Boulevard
  • Riverfront Boulevard – Two southbound median lanes closed from Continental Avenue to Reunion Boulevard and all northbound lanes closed from Reunion Boulevard to Continental Avenue
  • Commerce Street/Fort Worth Avenue – All lanes closed from Riverfront Boulevard to North Edgefield Avenue

Oak Cliff – Kessler, Winnetka Heights, and Bishop Arts District

Saturday, November 3 at 8:15 a.m., the following streets will be closed and reopened as cyclists pass through. All streets will be open by 11:30 a.m.

  • North Edgefield Avenue – All lanes closed from Fort Worth Avenue to Kessler Parkway
  • Kessler Parkway – All lanes closed from North Edgefield Parkway to Sylvan Avenue
  • Sylvan Avenue – All southbound lanes closed from Kessler Parkway to West Colorado Boulevard
  • North Tyler Street – All southbound lanes closed from West Colorado Boulevard to West Davis Street
  • North Polk Street – All lanes closed from W. Davis Street to West 12th Street
  • 12th Street – All westbound lanes closed from South Polk Street to South Zang Boulevard
  • South Zang Boulevard – All northbound lanes closed from 12th Street to E. Jefferson Boulevard
  • East Jefferson Boulevard – All eastbound lanes closed from South Zang Boulevard to Jefferson Boulevard Viaduct
  • Jefferson Boulevard Viaduct/South Market Street – All lanes closed from East Colorado Boulevard to Young Street

A special event, Aurora, is scheduled to occur from Saturday, November 3 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, November 4 at 2 a.m. Projected attendance is 30,000 people. 

The following streets will be closed Friday, November 2 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, November 4 at 3 a.m.:

  • Young Street from South Akard Street to South Ervay Street
  • South Akard Street – All northbound lanes from Young Street to Marilla Street
  • Browder Street from Young Street to Dallas City Hall
  • Marilla Street – All southbound lanes from Young Street to South Akard Street

The following additional streets will be closed Saturday, November 3 at 4 a.m. through Sunday, November 4 at 3 a.m.:

  • Young Street from South Lamar to Evergreen Street
  • South Griffin from Wood Street to Memorial Drive
  • South Field Street from Wood Street to Young Street

Meters will be hooded, and parking will be prohibited along the street closures. Both Pioneer Plaza parking lots (Young Street and Griffin Street) will be closed from Thursday, November 1 at 9 a.m. through Sunday, November 4 at 5 p.m.
