Successfully travel through DAL this Labor Day weekend

Traveling by air this Labor Day?

The last holiday weekend of the summer is a busy time at Dallas’ Love Field Airport. Here are a few tips to help ease the stress of holiday travel.

Arrive at least 2 to 2½ hours before your flight.
There’s no such thing as arriving too early for a flight. Love Field has plenty of things to do while you wait to board. There are sit-down, grab-and-go and fast food options in the main food court, as well as shopping post and pre-security.

Park at the airport. It’s [probably] cheaper than rideshare.
Love Field has three parking garages which are all first-come, first-served. There are several daily rate options under $10 and are within walking distance to the terminal. Plenty of parking is available for those who wish to drive themselves to the airport. A full lists of rates and parking options can be found here.

Check your flight status.
Check with your airline for flight departure/arrival status prior to arriving at the airport. Alaska, Delta and Southwest have representatives at their ticketing booths who are able to answer questions regarding your flight.

Newbie resources.

Traveler’s love navigating DAL because of how easy it can be to locate TSA, baggage claim and airline gates. If you’re new to Love Field, visit our website to find a terminal map and a 360 view inside the airport. There’s also an information desk pre-security checkpoint if you need additional assistance.
