Women of Wonder Con coming to Dallas Public Library March 10
Women and girls involved in creative industries are invited to network and learn at Women of Wonder Con Saturday at the Dallas Public Library. Women of Wonder con is a free event created to encourage women and girls as they navigate sometimes difficult creative fields.
The event, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Dallas Public Library, 1515 Young St., will feature guest speakers, panel discussions and creative workshops on comics, graphic design, fine arts, film making, acting and other creative areas.
The Conference will conclude with a Guinness World Record attempt for “the largest gathering of people dressed as female superheroes,” from 6 to 7 p.m. in front of the library. To get involved in the attempt and keep up with all the details, join the event on Facebook.
Women of Wonder will feature actress, martial arts expert and stunt woman Caitlin Dechelle; author and career coach Lar Park Lincoln and featured WFAA-TV Reporter Hannah Davis. Artists and authors will have art, jewelry and books for sale in a special Artists Alley.
“Although Women of Wonder’s focuses is on women in creative fields, we encourage everyone to attend the event,” said Dallas Public Library Fine Arts Manager Tiffany Bailey.
