Video: Here’s a look at what’s going on in Your City

Among the stories featured on this week’s Your City:

• On July 7, Dallas experienced one of the greatest tragedies in our city’s history with the loss of 5 officers. The City of Dallas is re-prioritizing resources to find millions of dollars to fulfill Dallas Police Chief David Brown’s requests for more officers, higher pay and better equipment the Dallas Police Department.
• The City of Dallas is currently working to finalize the budget for fiscal year 2016-17. Citizens of Dallas will be able to weigh in on the city manager recommended budget. You can attend any budget town hall meetings in your city council district or join in a virtual budget town hall meeting from your home computer, mobile device, or telephone. • Dallas has been selected to participate in the 100 Resilient Cities program by the Rockefeller Foundation. This places Dallas on a world stage with other prominent global cities. Dallas’ resiliency has been tested already. On July 7th we experienced one of the greatest tragedies in our history and our City leadership, citizens and Dallas Police Department showed great strength and resiliency.
