Targeted Rehab Program focuses on Historic Tenth Street and West Dallas

A new program promises to help preserve and maintain homes within the City of Dallas. The Targeted Rehab Program (TRP) opens at 8 a.m. on Friday, December 11. The program focuses on the Tenth Street Historic District (District 4) and West Dallas (District 6).  

TRP is intended to preserve and improve homes that meet specific criteria, which includes property being occupied by the current homeowner*, current on mortgage payments, property tax payments, and current on any payments on property liens.  

City officials will screen completed applications based on repairs needed. A lottery system will be used to select applications. The application period closes at 5 p.m. on January 29, 2021Construction for selected applications is estimated to begin in Spring 2021.
