Southern Skates is a City-owned roller rink located in the southern region of Dallas, where it has served the Dallas community for over a decade. Hosting entertaining birthday parties and adult skate nights, Southern has become an iconic landmark for the city and is well-known throughout the metroplex.
In the summer of 2017, the rink closed for structural renovations and reopened in late fall. Renovations included a remodeled bathroom and a restructured foundation. As a gift to the community, all skaters and guests received free admission at the grand reopening.
Southern Skates plans to provide more memorable skate nights for Dallas in 2018.
