Marshal’s Office will crack down on outstanding family violence warrants

The Dallas Marshal’s Office will begin an initiative Monday to clear outstanding Class C warrants for family violence related cases in Dallas. Deputies will be going to homes and places of employment to find those with outstanding family violence warrants.

The Dallas Municipal Court at 2014 Main St is extending hours of operations on Tuesdays for defendants wishing to resolve their cases voluntarily. Municipal Court hours are normally Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; this week the court will be open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Payments can be made 24/7 at the Marshal’s 1600 Chestnut location and may also be paid online at https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/dallastx.

Technology advances like automatic license plate readers, in-car video and electronic ticket writers have made it much easier for officers to find people with outstanding warrants.
