A major traffic shift along westbound I-30 has changed routes to access I-35E and westbound I-30 for drivers leaving downtown Dallas. The map above shows the detour routes near Akard Street that drivers will need to use.
Access to Southbound I-35E
The green line on the map shows the on-ramp just west of Akard Street that has changed to southbound I-35E ONLY access. Prior to the traffic shift, this ramp allowed access to westbound I-30 and northbound I-35E.
Access to Northbound I-35E and Westbound I-30
The blue line on the map shows the traffic detour from Akard Street to access westbound I-30 and northbound I-35E using Cadiz and Harwood streets towards the westbound frontage road.
