City of Dallas Celebrates the Dallas Wings 2025 WNBA Draft Class!

Dallas Wings draftees Paige Bueckers, Aziaha James, Madison Scott, JJ Quinerly, and Aaronette Vonleh were welcomed with pride at Dallas City Hall Wednesday, April 23, by Mayor Eric Johnson and City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert. Mayor Johnson and City Manager Tolbert elaborated on the excitement of the Wings new players coming to Dallas at a news conference in the lobby at City Hall.       

The players were gifted brand new cowboy hats by the City of Dallas Economic Development Corporation.

UConn’s Bueckers is the number one overall pick in the WNBA. The additional players added to the roster and introduced today are also high profile, high caliber players.

The team will start the 2026 season playing at the Memorial Arena in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
