Dallas Water Utilities is offering payment plans to customers with past due accounts

(August 9, 2024) In March 2024, Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) implemented DallasGo, the new online payment platform. During the transition, water service interruptions and late fees were not applied, and customers could make payments using the new online payment platform or the other payment options available.

However, starting Wednesday, September 18, 2024, customer accounts that are past due and do not have a payment plan in place will be subject to disconnection and late fees for non-payment. Currently, 26% of DWU customers have past due balances of more than 60 days. The average past due balance is $127.

DWU is committed to working with customers to set up a payment plan. Customers that have past due balances of more than 60 days can email [email protected] for assistance with establishing up to a 6-month payment plan. Operation WaterShare provides assistance to customers who are facing financial hardship. For more details, visit Operation WaterShare.

DWU customers have various options for making payments. Payments can be made online by registering for a user profile on DallasGo at Dallas.gov/DallasGo or using the Guest Pay feature to make a convenient one-time payment. Payments can also be made by mail, by phone at (214) 651-1441, in person at Dallas City Hall, at an authorized pay station listed at bit.ly/DWUPayStations, or the drop box outside City Hall in the driveway between Young Street and Canton Street.

Customers with questions regarding their account may contact DWU Customer Service at 214-651-1441 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For questions regarding DallasGo, customers may read FAQs at Dallas.gov/DallasGo or email their inquiries to [email protected].
