Dallas Police Department enjoys 100 percent success rate in finding homes for furry friends

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) is well known for being one of the premiere law enforcement organizations in the nation. This excellent service has extended its footprint into placing four-legged furry canine friends in need of new homes for Dallas Animal Services (DAS). To date, DPD has a 100 percent new home placement success rate with every single animal it has featured in its Pet of the Week program.

Every week since March of this year, DPD has featured a canine on its blog at www.dpdbeat.com. Because of the great successes with placing dogs, the partnership program is adding a Feline Friday, which will feature a cat in need of a home.

Animal featured on these programs are available for adoption at Dallas Animal Services’ main location, 1818 N. Westmoreland, from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
