Dallas Animal Services Wins Big in Uber Puppy Bowl

Dallas Animal Services teamed up with Uber and Animal Planet Wednesday to deliver adoptable puppies to animal lovers across the city, in preparation for Animal Planet’s PUPPY BOWL XI.

“We are thrilled to partner with Uber and Animal Planet to bring our beautiful puppies to the homes of community members,” said Dr. Cate McManus, Dallas Animal Services veterinarian. “This promotion raises adoption awareness for these wonderful animals ready to find their forever homes.”

Uber says it received tens of thousands of requests. Participants were given 15 minutes of snuggle time with pups for $30. Every dollar from each visit was donated to the Dallas Animal Services Fund at the Dallas Companion Animal Project.

Some of the participants included Mayor Mike Rawlings and several councilmembers. Councilmember Dwayne Caraway even pledged to adopt a pup.
