City’s Quality of Life Committee endorses Aquatics Master Plan

The City of Dallas Quality of Life Committee has endorsed a $36 million Aquatics Master Plan for new swimming and play centers around the city. None of the existing 17 pool facilities in Dallas will be closing; all new facilities will be additions to what the City already operates.

The goal of the Master Plan is to significantly enhance the programs offered at each new facility. Each new facility opening will include a lap pool among other amenities. The Dallas Parks and Recreations Department provides low cost swim lessons at all of the City of Dallas swimming pool locations and will continue to do so at the new facilities as they open.
