The City of Dallas and Visit Dallas announce the upcoming launch of a new city-wide campaign, “Spend It in Dallas”, which will officially launch on November 27, 2025. The campaign is designed to encourage residents, visitors and businesses to invest in Dallas by spending their time, experiences and dollars locally. This campaign comes at a pivotal moment, as Dallas continues to expand its economic engine, support neighborhood business ecosystems, and foster inclusive growth.
“Our city thrives when we choose to invest in each other,” said Kimberly Bizor Tolbert, Dallas City Manager. “With ‘Spend It in Dallas’, we are inviting everyone, whether you live here, work here, or visit here, to spend here, and help build a stronger, more resilient economy one purchase, one meal, one experience at a time.”
Dallas has a rich, dynamic array of local businesses, restaurants, entertainment venues and cultural offerings. Increasing local spending means more robust neighborhood economies, more jobs, more vibrant streets, and more sales tax revenue that can support city services and quality of life. By calling attention to the importance of “shop, dine, play, stay” within Dallas, the campaign seeks to channel the city’s energy and growth into every corner of our community.
Tourism and visitor spending generate billions annually, supporting thousands of jobs and city-wide benefits. The “Spend It in Dallas” campaign builds on that foundation by expanding the message to include every dollar spent locally as an investment in Dallas’ future.
“Creating a positive local economic impact is at the heart of everything we do,” said Craig Davis, President and CEO of Visit Dallas. “When our neighborhoods are vibrant and our residents thrive, visitors have an even better experience — they stay longer, spend more, and share their love for Dallas with family and friends.”
The campaign is launched in collaboration with the City of Dallas, Visit Dallas, and with support from Downtown Dallas Inc., Uptown Dallas, Inc, and creative agencies. A multi-platform rollout will include digital, social, outdoor, streaming, and neighborhood-targeted assets. Creative will spotlight everyday Dallas experiences, local business owners and the vibrant culture that makes Dallas unique. Messaging will be tailored to encourage spending across the city, including Downtown, Uptown, Oak Cliff, East Dallas, Deep Ellum, South Dallas and beyond, ensuring citywide impact.
